About the Person
Sandra Knight, also known as Sandi, joined HealthMarkets, Inc. as Senior Vice President of Human Resources in August of 2011.Prior to joining HealthMarkets, Ms. Knight served as the Vice President of Human Resources for EF Johnson Technologies, inc. from 2007 to 2011. Prior to EF Johnson, she served as the Sr. Director of Human Resources for Zale Corporation overseeing all field human resources for 2300 locations, 18,000 employees, and six brands. She has a varied background in Union/Non-Union environments, multi-location, multi-state and multiple industries such as manufacturing, banking, retail, engineering, and now Health Care. Sandi received her MS in Educational Psychology from Cal-State as well as her BA in Sociology. She has her Senior Professional Human Resources Certification (SPHR) and a Master Project Management certification (MPM). She is a national member of SHRM, Dallas HR, and DWENG (Dallas Women’s Executive Network Group). Sandi lives in Dallas and has two children – a daughter who is currently in Israel and a son who will be graduating from the University of Alabama and then going into the Peace Corps where he will be in Madagascar.
