About the Person
Sammie Long is CHRO at Ferguson. Previously, she was senior vice president, Global Human Resourcesn at Kellogg. She is also a member of the company’s Global Leadership team. From 2008 until 2013, Sammie held the position of vice president, Kellogg North America. In 2006, she was promoted to vice president, human resources, U.S. Morning Foods & Kashi. She also served as human resources business partner to the senior vice president of global human resources. Ms. Long joined the company in the United Kingdom in 2003 as director, human resources for the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and Middle East/Mediterranean businesses as well as the European finance, sales, human resources, research and development, information technology, communications and innovations functions. Prior to joining the company Ms. Long held the position of head of human resources for Sharp Electronics based in the United Kingdom. Previous to this role, she held a number of positions in her 15-year tenure with International Computers Limited, part of the Fujitsu family of companies. She received her institute of personnel management qualification in the United Kingdom.
