About the Person

Ruth Stricklen Pullins, MA, SPHR, CLRP, has served in the same role with The University of Kansas Physicians (UKP) since 2006. Pullins` professional accomplishments include creating and executing a plan to centralize communization and creating a common culture and identity at UKP.  These plans helped to significantly reduce staff turnover. She also led restructuring of the organization`s retirement plan, established a paid time off program, and completed a redesign of employee benefits.   Pullins earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Development from Friends University. She went on to earn a Master of Arts in Communications Studies from the University of Kansas. She holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute and a Certified Labor Relation Professional certification from the National Public Employer Labor Relations Association. She is a member of Medical Group Managers Association, the National Society of Human Resource Management and the National Public Employer Labor Relations Association. Pullins serves on the governance structure committee for the National Parkinson Foundation, Heartland. She previously held a director role for the Society for Human Resource Management - Kansas City Chapter.
