Martek of Palm Beach was founded by David Gratton in 1997 in North Palm Beach, Florida. Their facilities were later relocated to Stuart in 2002. Gratton currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) and has been active on the Board for over ten years. Martek of Palm Beach has been involved in developing the NMEA Installation Standards, in revising the Certified Marine Electronics Technician (CMET) testing program, and the development of the NMEA Master Dealer program which certifies servicing dealerships to ensure a high standard of technical proficiency and customer satisfaction. Martek's commitment to technical excellence is evidenced by the fact that FCC Licensed, radar endorsed Certified Marine Electronics Technicians comprise over 50% of our technical staff.
