About the Person

Robyn Tingley is Vice President Human Resources for Ingram Micro North America, the world’s largest technology distributor. She is a certified global human resources professional who has worked internationally in the fields of human resources, communications, corporate social responsibility, public policy and journalism. Previously Tingley was vice president HR & Communications for Ingram Micro Europe and based in Brussels, Belgium. Tingley has also served as vice president HR for Ingram Micro Latin America. Prior to joining Ingram Micro, she was vice president of communications & public affairs for Bell Aliant, a Canadian-based leader in telecommunications.   Tingley has served on various non-profit boards, including university, museum, theater and economic development agencies. She currently serves on the board of the California Diversity Council. She has advised governments in Canada on diversity & inclusion, sustainability issues and workforce strategies, having been appointed by Canada’s prime minister as one of 14 Canadians to a two-year term on sustainability and labor matters. She is personally committed to global sustainability and co-owns a heritage renewal business focused on the preservation and re-use of Canada’s oldest housing stock. Tingley is also the founder of CalChique.com, an online vintage accessories store; recycling existing materials for sustainable fashion and using profits to provide microfinance loans to female entrepreneurs in developing economies around the world.   In 2013 Tingley was named one of the Most Powerful & Influential Women by the California Diversity Council. In 2013 she was also selected as one of 30 pioneering women globally to participate in Oxford University’s inaugural Saïd Business School’s Women Transforming Leadership program. For her contributions to the community, in 2011 Tingley was recognized by her alma matter St. Francis Xavier as the Young Alumna of the Year. In 2007, Tingley was named an Economic and Goodwill Ambassador for the Province of New Brunswick.   Tingley holds a degree in psychology from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, a post-graduate degree in journalism from the University of King’s College in Nova Scotia, earned her GPHR in Luxembourg, and she has completed continuing executive education programs at Oxford University in the UK, the Paul Merage School of Business at University of California, Irvine, and McGill University in Montreal.
