About the Company
Brattleboro Memorial Hospital (BMH) has provided health care services for over a hundred years. A licensed, 61-bed, not-for-profit community hospital located in southeastern Vermont, it serves a rural population of about 55,000 people in 22 towns in Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The medical staff includes 137 board-certified physicians, both primary care and many specialists, and its 572 employees enjoy the help of over 110 active volunteers.
About the Person
Robin R. Heald is the Vice President of Human Resources at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. She previously served as BMH`s Director of Human Resources. Heald began her career at BMH in 1996 as a Compensation and Benefits Manager in the Human Resources Department and has led the department since 2008. She notes that increased regulation in recent years has somewhat changed the nature of the job, but that BMH has been fortunate to have had very little staff turnover in the HR department over the years, giving her team the opportunity to acquire a high level of specialized expertise. Heald jokes that her background before being hired at BMH was in “Banking, Insurance & Beer,” having worked for 11 years at VT Bank and Trust Company, 8 years with The Richards Group and 2 years with an Anheuser/Bush distributor. A past president of the Vermont Healthcare Human Resources Association and an active member of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration and the Society of Human Resource Management, Heald lives in Hinsdale, NH with her husband Randy and their four-legged friend Gus. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her two granddaughters and volunteering for many community fundraising activities.
