About the Person

Robert Scott Larsen joined the Eckerd Team in May 2015 as Chief Talent Officer to develop and refine the organization`s human resource and professional development practices. In his role he is responsible for ensuring that our talent management systems attract, develop, motivate, and retain the people necessary to execute Eckerd`s Strategic Plan.   Robert came to Eckerd after a long and distinguished career in the United States Army. He is an accomplished senior human resources and operations leader with nearly 30 years of progressive experience driving organizational health, productivity, efficiency and profitability. A recognized expert in delivering results within the public sector, Robert brings a wealth of transferrable skills and expertise to Eckerd.   Robert`s human resources experience includes extensive knowledge in recruitment, onboarding, employee morale and welfare, change management and other essential personnel services. In 2010, Robert moved to Florida to serve as the Personnel Services Division Chief for United States Central Command where he spearheaded comprehensive human resources services for over 5,000 employees across a 20-country territory in Asia, Africa and North America.  He also worked all over the world in his roles as Director of Human Resources, Branch Chief of Human Resources and Director of Recruiting Support Operations.   Robert graduated with honors from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree in 1986, received a Master`s Degree in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University in 2008 and a Master`s Degreein Strategic Studies from the Army War College in 2010. He is also certified by the HR Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and the Society of HR Management as a Senior Certified Professional.
