The California Office of Digital Innovation (ODI) is dedicated to improving digital experiences for all Californians. ODI uses people-centered design and technology to reimagine and deliver equitable, effective services to Californians. We bring empathy, curiosity, data, technology, and a host of other tools to identifying problems. We directly engage with Californians to understand their needs, challenges, and expectations. And we work with state agencies and departments to reimagine the processes, policies, and technology systems that problems are rooted in. Our focus is on creating and delivering lasting change, not just quick fixes. We`re looking for team members who are deeply excited about making California government work better. We`re a remote-first team with staff all over the state and offices in the historic train station in downtown Sacramento.
The Treasurer of State serves as the State`s banker and is responsible for an investment portfolio of approximately $9 billion. Every day, our staff accepts deposits, reconciles accounts, prepares statements and answers customers` questions. As the bank for the State, the office provides many of the same services as private banks. On average, the office accepts more than $70 million daily in deposits from various local, state and federal sources, and credits them to the proper accounts. These deposits are made up of electronic funds transfers, checks and cash. We process between 2,000 to 3,000 checks and reconcile over 3,000 accounts daily, representing the funds of nearly 200 state agencies, boards and commissions. The Treasurer is also charged with managing the Arkansas 529 Education Savings Plan, the Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) program for people with disabilities, and serves as Chairman of the Arkansas Financial Education Commission.
Franklin County is located in south central Pennsylvania midway between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. The southern boundary of the County is also the boundary between Pennsylvania and Maryland, also known as the Mason-Dixon Line. The County encompasses an area of 754 square miles and had an estimated population in 2000 of 129,318. Rolling hills, forests, mountains, valleys and clear springs create the beauty of Franklin County. With the diversity of Franklin County`s economic base, the residents enjoy the advantages of both urban and rural opportunities within the County. Due to this diversified makeup and the rich history of Franklin County, tourism is a major component of the county`s economy. Since its establishment in 1784, Franklin County has enjoyed a steady, healthy growth and has become the financial and commercial center of much of the Cumberland Valley. With two major railroads, the Conrail and the CSX, and the meeting place for three major highways: Route 30, Route 11 and Interstate 81, Franklin County grows daily. In addition to commercial growth, Franklin County continues to support a healthy farm industry with the County ranking second in the state in the production of milk, meat, apples and peaches. There are currently 1,690 farms in the County consisting of 255,500 acres. The County also has 39,780 acres of state forest lands with approximately 15,178 acres as state game lands. The Falling Spring is one of the best natural trout streams in the nation, and it meanders through Chambersburg. Wildlife abounds throughout the County: white-tail deer, fox, coyote, black bear, and wild turkey to name a few.
Huron County is located in the “thumb” area of Michigan. It is surrounded on three sides by water – Saginaw Bay and Lake Huron. The county has a land area of 824 square miles which is 139 square miles greater than the average for the other 82 counties in the state. Of the 28 townships in the county, only 15 are approximately 36 square miles. The irregular shore, 93 miles long, makes the other thirteen townships irregular in size, ranging from one square mile (Pointe Aux Barques Township) to 58 square miles (Sherman Township). The population of the county showed a continuous increase from the first census period until 1920 when it reached 34, 758 people. In common with the majority of counties of the state, the population declined from 1910 to 1930. Since then, there has been a gradual increase in population to 36, 459 people in 1980; however, in 1990 a gradual decrease. Bad Axe, the county seat and the largest city has a population of just over 3,400 people. Harbor Beach is the other city in the county. The villages are Caseville, Elkton, Kinde, Owendale, Pigeon, Port Austin, Port Hope, Sebewaing, and Ubly. Huron County ranks as one of the top agricultural counties in Michigan based on agricultural farm income. Major crops grown in the county are corn, navy beans, sugar beets, wheat, alfalfa, oats and barley. Major enterprises include dairy, livestock, and poultry production. Because of the natural beauty and ideal topography and sandy beaches, Huron County has an ideal setting for the tourism industry. The shoreline developed for tourism offers numerous opportunities for vacationers. There are currently two state parks – Sleeper State Park and Port Crescent State Park. Two roadside parks – Jenks Park and Brown Park. Also, Huron County maintains nine county parks along the shoreline, which are Caseville Park, Lighthouse Park, Stafford Park, McGraw Park, Philp Park, Port Austin Bird Creek Park, Wagener Park, Oak Beach Park and Sebewaing Park. Although small industry and tourism has developed in the county, agriculture remains the chief source of income for most residents.
