About the Person

Ric is the Vice President, Human Resources at Assurant Specialty Property. As part of the senior Human Resources leadership team responsible for the organizational people strategy, he manages a team of 3 Business Partners supporting the CFO, SVP Human Resources, CIO, and the President of Property Solutions, a high growth business within Specialty Property. Before Assurant, Ric was Senior Director Human Resources Business Partnering for Level 3 Communications, a multinational telecom and internet service provider with revenues of 6.4 billion. He managed a team of 6 Human Resources Business Partners and 4 Generalists responsible for all non-sales Human Resources Business Partnering in the US and Canada with a total population of 7,500 employees. Directly supported the CFO, CTO, CIO, CXO and the NA Operations President. Prior to joining Level 3 Communications, Ric was the Senior Director, Human Resources, Frito Lay North America, a division of PepsiCo with revenues of 13 billion. Ric was responsible for the Human Resources Leadership of the New York Region, accountable for Compensation, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Leadership Metrics, Succession Planning, Staffing/Selection, Organizational Development/Training, and Performance Management for 120 exempt & 2,500 Hourly/Commissioned employees across 14+ locations. Ric led a team of 7 Human Resources/Training professionals. Ric also served in an Human Resources leadership capacity for ADVO, Inc (currently Valassis) as Director, Corporate Human Resources. Advo, Inc., was America`s largest direct mail marketer, with revenues of 1.3 billion. He was responsible for the Human Capital Strategy of the field Human Resources organization which included 20 geographically separated production facilities and numerous sales offices with a population of almost 3800 associates. He directly supervised 7 managers and a Human Resources Director. Ric has honorably served in the United States Air Force and was selected as an Outstanding Young Man of America.
