Indianapolis, IN-based Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council hired Rhonda Adams as Executive Director.
The Mid-States MSDC is an affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), and one of 24 regional councils operating in the United States. The Council was created by the Indianapolis business community in the mid ’70s to address and support minority business development.
Rhonda Carter-Adams is the Executive Director for the Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council (the St. Louis/Eastern Missouri area).Previously she led the effort at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis to increase the utilization of diverse suppliers and maximize opportunities within the minority and woman-owned business community. Prior to this opportunity, she held several roles at Caterpillar Inc. during her fifteen (15) year tenure, most of which were dedicated to leading and managing the enterprise's supplier diversity initiative.Rhonda, a native of Mississippi, received a degree in Computer Science from Jackson State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She and her husband, Carlton, relocated to St. Louis in 2011 and have a daughter and two sons.
