About the Person
With over 30 years of experience in leading medical device companies, Mr. Cohen is an accredited public company director. From 2010 to 2012, he served as CEO of privately-held venture capital backed Vessix Vascular which was acquired by Boston Scientific in November 2012. He spent nearly a decade as Chairman & CEO of Nasdaq-listed Cardiac Science Inc. ranked as the 4th fastest growing company in U.S. in 2004. Currently, Mr. Cohen serves as the Chairman of the board of directors at a number of private and publicly traded life science companies including UK- and Irvine, CA – based Lombard Medical (Nasdaq: EVAR – endovascular AAA stent graft), Seattle-based BioLife Solutions (Nasdaq: BLFS – preservation media for human cells), Westminster, CO-based privately held Syncroness, Inc. (contract engineering). He also serves as a director of Henderson, NV-based Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPPI – Oncology drugs) and of Munich and Irvine, CA-based JenaValve Technologies, Inc. (transcatheter aortic valve replacement systems).
