About the Person
Ray Hunter Carson Jr. is executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Highmark Health. In this position he is responsible for areas including compensation, benefits, diversity and inclusion, human resources information systems, corporate employee relations, talent acquisition and talent management. Mr. Carson joined Highmark in 2009, after approximately 11 years at Wyeth. Prior to that, he worked in various positions with M&M/Mars and the H.J. Heinz Company. His educational background includes an undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and a master's degree in human resources from Rutgers University. He is active in the community and serves as a board member for Every Child Incorporated, The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh and Project for Freedom.
