Western Growers exists for one reason only: to ensure the future viability of its members – the hard-working, salt-of-the-earth farmers who grow the fruits, vegetables and tree nuts that feed our nation and nourish our bodies. But their way of life, their ability to pass their multi-generational farms and family legacies on to their children and grandchildren, is being jeopardized by a host of threats, many of them beyond their control. They face a growing litany of laws and regulations that make it increasingly difficult and expensive to do business. Our members depend on us to help them remain competitive and profitable in spite of these trying circumstances, which we do by fighting – heart and soul – for them every single day. We passionately advocate for them in the halls of Congress and on the steps of the state capitol. We actively facilitate the advancement of technology designed to help them become more efficient and less dependent on diminishing resources. We diligently provide health insurance to their farm workers, as well as other insurance solutions tailored to the unique business. We do all of this, and more, from a position of leadership in the agriculture industry, which requires a team of intelligent, inquisitive and innovative individuals committed to our common purpose. Western Growers was founded in 1926 and is headquartered in Irvine, California with offices in Bakersfield, Fresno, Imperial, Modesto, Sacramento, Salinas and Santa Maria, California along with offices in Phoenix and Somerton, Arizona, and Washington, D.C.
We are a non-profit youth organization. Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club organization currently has 6 Club locations spanning across 5 counties including 2 states. We are located in the following counties in KY: Butler, Daviess, Henderson, and Ohio; as well as South Spencer, IN. The organization has both Units and Extensions. Units are our Club sites that are open year-round excluding weekends. Extensions are our Club sites that are only open during after school programming. We offer after-school and summer programming for kids and teens ages 6-18 years of age. At the Club, members have a safe environment, academic support, healthy snacks, high-quality programs and supportive mentors. The Bridgeport Housing Authority is committed to advancing the progress and well-being of the City of Bridgeport by developing, owning, funding, managing, subsidizing, and otherwise providing low income and affordable housing for persons of low and moderate income who reside in the City of Bridgeport. Not just a provider of shelter BHA shall seek, through programs and coalitions with others, to move residents from more deeply subsidized low-income public housing units to less deeply subsidized affordable rental or homeownership units - from dependency to independence. BHA will work with the State of Connecticut and with surrounding communities to ensure that those communities provide affordable housing resources to their own residents, so that BHA can focus on the needs of Bridgeport residents. The housing units that BHA develops, owns, funds, manages, or subsidizes shall be attractive, well managed, and provide safe and secure living environments to residents of these properties and their neighbors. BHA shall conduct all of its activities with professionalism and high standards of ethical behavior, upholding the principles of A.C.T. - accountability, communication and transparency - in its policies, rules and operating procedures.
