For more than 45 years, College of the Canyons has served as a gateway to higher education, professional training, economic development and, by extension, opportunity for residents of the Santa Clarita Valley and beyond. The Medical College of Wisconsin, or simply MCW, is a private, freestanding medical school and graduate school of sciences located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was formerly affiliated with Marquette University, but has operated as an independent institution since 1967.[1] MCW is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association (NCA) of Colleges and Schools and by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). The NCA is the accrediting body for all institutions of higher education in the College's geographic region and the LCME is the accrediting body of all US medical schools. Along with the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, it is one of only two medical schools in Wisconsin, and it is the only private medical school in the state.

Founded in 1906, Louisiana College is a private, Baptist coeducational college of liberal arts and sciences with selected professional programs. Brewton-Parker College is a four-year Christian college located in Mount Vernon and Newnan. Affiliated with the Georgia Baptist Convention, the College offers four baccalaureate degrees in a caring, Christian environment that nurtures the whole student. Available programs of study range from English and Christian ministry to biology and business. Some of the finest students throughout the country, along with many from foreign countries, continue to make Brewton-Parker College their choice for academic study. The Barons compete in 15 intercollegiate sports in the SSAC and NAIA including baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling.
