About 20 stores are company-owned and -operated while the rest are franchised, Piggly Wiggly Midwest supplies all of its stores from two distribution centers. FBI operates its supermarkets primarily under the Piggly Wiggly banner and Dick’s banner. It primarily operates in Wisconsin, northern Illinois, and northeastern Iowa. Fresh Brands was founded in 1911 as Schultz Holding Company, Inc. It changed its name to Fresh Brands, Inc. in March 2001. The company is headquartered in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Fresh Brands Inc. is a former subsidiary of Certified Grocers Midwest, Inc.
