The central undergraduate student government at Queen`s University, the AMS represents over 16,000 students and is the oldest student government in Canada. The constituency is represented through 10 faculty and residence societies. The AMS Council, which is made up of a three-person executive, six commissioners, and three directors, oversees all day-to-day activities within the Society, including 10 corporate services and over 50 government committees that address virtually all matters of student life at Queen`s.
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is an 1890 land-grant doctoral research university dedicated to learning, discovery, and community engagement. The University provides a wide range of educational opportunities from bachelor’s to doctoral degrees in both traditional and online environments. With an emphasis on preeminence in STEM and a commitment to excellence in all its educational, research, and outreach programs, North Carolina A&T fosters a climate of economic competitiveness that prepares students for the global society. In 1890, Congress enacted the Second Morrill Act that mandated “a separate college for the colored race.” The Agricultural and Mechanical College for the Colored Race (now N.C. A&T) was established as that school in the state of North Carolina by an act of the General Assembly ratified on March 9, 1891. Originally operating in Raleigh as an annex to Shaw University, the college made a permanent home in Greensboro with the help of local citizens such as DeWitt Clinton Benbow and Charles H. Moore. In 1915, state legislators changed the college’s name to the Agricultural and Technical College of North Carolina; and in 1967, they elevated it to university status. N.C. A&T became a constituent university of the University of North Carolina in 1972. For the fiscal year 2010–11, A&T generated more than $60 million in sponsored programs and more than $6 million in appropriations for agricultural research and cooperative extension.
FLA is a collaborative effort of universities, civil society organizations and socially responsible companies dedicated to protecting workers` rights around the world. We are an international organization with a dedicated staff and board, headquartered in Washington, DC, with offices in China, Switzerland and Turkey. FLA places the onus on companies to voluntarily meet internationally recognized labor standards wherever their products are made. We offer: • A collaborative approach allowing civil society organizations, universities and socially responsible companies to sit at the same table and find effective solutions to labor issues; • Innovative and sustainable strategies and resources to help companies improve compliance systems; • Transparent and independent assessments, the results of which are published online; and • A mechanism to address the most serious labor rights violations through the Third Party Complaint process.

Additional teaching sites include the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shriner`s Hospital for Children, Willis-Knighton Medical Center, CHRISTUS Health and Rapides Medical Center.
