Trinity College is an independent, nonsectarian liberal arts college for men and women, with approximately 2,200 undergraduate students and 200 faculty members, located in Hartford, Connecticut. It is an actively engaged community of students, faculty and staff who work together to develop and sustain the intellectual and creative opportunities central to a first-class liberal arts education. Hartford, the state capital, provides many opportunities for cultural and social engagement.
Hillsdale College, founded in 1844, has built a national reputation through its maintenance of a classical core curriculum and its principled refusal to accept federal or state taxpayer subsidies. It also conducts an outreach effort promoting civil and religious liberty, including a free monthly speech digest, Imprimis, with a current circulation of over 2.8 million. Hillsdale College is an independent, nonsectarian institution of higher learning founded in 1844 by men and women “grateful to God for the inestimable blessings” resulting from civil and religious liberty and “believing that the diffusion of learning is essential to the perpetuity of these blessings.” It pursues the stated object of the founders: “to furnish all persons who wish, irrespective of nation, color, or sex, a literary and scientific education” outstanding among American colleges “and to combine with this such moral and social instruction as will best develop the minds and improve the hearts of its pupils.” The College considers itself a trustee of modern man’s intellectual and spiritual inheritance from the Judeo-Christian faith and Greco-Roman culture, a heritage finding its clearest expression in the American experiment of self-government under law. By training the young in the liberal arts, Hillsdale College prepares students to become leaders worthy of that legacy. By encouraging the scholarship of its faculty, it contributes to the preservation of that legacy for future generations. By publicly defending that legacy, it enlists the aid of other friends of free civilization and thus secures the conditions of its own survival and independence.
Throughout our history, the broad missions of teaching, research, and service have helped to guide the university and will continue to do so. However, as East Carolina University begins a new century, five specific dimensions of our mission will give sharper focus to our work. Creating Opportunity for the East: No institution is more important to eastern North Carolina than East Carolina University. We will prepare tomorrow`s workforce, generate the intellectual capital that drives our economy, provide hands-on engagement with our region and state, and create new technologies from our research. Our Colleges of Business, Technology and Computer Science, and Fine Arts and Communication, as well as our health sciences schools, are significant drivers of the new economy. Clayton State University is a public university in Morrow, Georgia, U.S.A.[2] Clayton State University is a part of the University System of Georgia. The main campus is located in a wooded area of 163 acres (0.66 km2), with several ponds and a lake, in the north-central part of Clayton County in suburban south metro Atlanta. The campus is located fifteen minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The University has 208 full-time faculty and 356 full-time staff. Clayton State maintains an instructional site in Peachtree City. Since 1991, Clayton State`s Spivey Hall enjoys recognition as one of the world`s best concert halls, presenting jazz, classical music and all manner of musical entertainment. Clayton State is a part of the Division II NCAA sports in basketball, soccer, cross-country, tennis, golf and cheerleading programs. Clayton State University`s School of Business and College of Health enjoy state-wide reputations. The Harry S. Downs Continuing Education Center, overlooking the main campus lake, is home to multiple language programs along with many personal growth programs and some technical programs. The Downs Center is also a venue for conferences and special events.
