The Municipality of Monroeville is located in the eastern half of Allegheny County, approximately 13 miles outside Pittsburgh. (Latitude/longitude at the Municipal Building is 40 degrees, 25 minutes, 49 seconds north latitude, 79 degrees, 46 minutes, 55 seconds west longitude). Monroe is the largest city and county seat of Monroe County in the U.S. state of Michigan. Monroe had a population of 20,733 in the 2010 census. The city is bordered on the south by Monroe Charter Township, but the two are administered autonomously.
