South Georgia Technical College`s main campus is located in Sumter County, six miles northeast of Americus. The college is 135 miles south of Atlanta, between Highways 19 and 49 on South Georgia Tech Parkway. It has a satellite campus in Cordele. It has been spotlighted as the top-ranked community college in Georgia for 2017 by two different organizations. South Georgia Technical College is one of only two technical colleges in Georgia with on-campus housing and a full service cafeteria.
