With more than 5,300 employees currently working for the school district, Manatee County schools can be proud of a long-list of accomplishments, a few of which are listed here: Twenty eight of the schools graded in Manatee County received an “A” grade from the state based on student performance on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) during the 2008-2009 school year. All Manatee District elementary schools graded received a grade of “C” or higher during the 2008-2009 school year with 20 out of 34 receiving an “A”. Many of our schools maintained their good FCAT scores while 11 improved their school grades during the 2008-2009 school year.
