About the Company
The Louisiana House of Representatives is the lower body of the Louisiana State Legislature. The House consists of 105 members and meets at the State Capitol in Baton Rouge. Members of the House serve four-year terms with term limits, limiting representatives to three terms (a total of twelve years). Each member represents an average of 43,175 residents as of the 2010 Census. After the 2000 Census, each member represented approximately 42,562 residents.
About the Person
Noel Hunt served as Acting Director of Human Resources at Louisiana House of Representatives. Prior to that, he retired as Director of Human Resources at Louisiana House of Representatives in April 2013 but returned as the Acting Director after Hunt`s replacement left more than a year ago. Noel Hunt has worked for the Louisiana House of Representatives for more than 30 years. The first eight years with the House of Representatives, Noel was the staff for the House Appropriations Committee. Noel left the employ of the House of Representatives in 1988 to become a contract lobbyist with Randy Haynie and Associates. In 1990, Noel returned to the Louisiana House of Representatives as the Executive Director of House Legislative Services. Ten years later he helped to establish the Office of Human Resources and has been its director since that time. Noel received his bachelor`s degree in 1969 and his MBA in 1979 from Southeastern Louisiana University. Noel worked for the Juvenile Court in East Baton Rouge Parish for ten years before joining the staff of the Louisiana House of Representatives.
