Berkeley Microfinance is a UC Berkeley student-run group with a mission to promote entrepreneurialism in the Bay Area by offering our clients access to financial resources and microloans through Kiva. We also seek to serve as a platform for UC Berkeley students to expand their learning about microfinance while developing close ties to the local community as we channel the time, enthusiasm, and energy of students into empowering local entrepreneurs. Microfinance at Berkeley is sponsored by the Haas School of Business, the Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC), and the National Undergraduate Impact Investing Society (UIIS).
Muiz Mustamir is VP of Marketing at Microfinance at Berkeley. Previously, Muiz held various senior HR leadership roles in the industry.
