Enfield, NS- based Halifax International Airport Authority has Appointed Mike Christie as Vice President of Human Resources

 

About the Company

Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA), a locally controlled, non-share capital corporation, was incorporated in November of 1995.   On February 1, 2000, Halifax International Airport Authority took over the management of Halifax Stanfield International Airport, as Transport Canada relinquished its role of operator in favour of a more appropriate role as landlord and regulator.   This historical event in the life of our community will help to ensure that Halifax Stanfield International Airport will continue to provide the world class service for which it has become internationally known.

 

About the Person

Mike Christie is responsible for all aspects of employee relations, labour relations, and organizational effectiveness and development for Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA).   Mike also oversees the administration of a broad range of organizational and employee services including benefits and salary administration, training and development, recruitment, employee assistance programs, and labour relations with the employee bargaining group.   Mike holds a Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Psychology and Biology, from Mount Allison University, and has over 18 years of human resources experience.
