Michael Taylor is an accomplished business consultant with deep expertise in system analysis and design, change management, outsourcing (HRO/BPO), operations, and diverse HR disciplines. He conducts HR assessments and provides recommendations to enhance HR effectiveness, streamline work processes and lower cost as well as to embed and implement project management excellence to address strategic needs resulting in leaner, more progressive, cutting edge HR organizations. His background includes both broad-based corporate and business line HR. As a seasoned HR business partner, he has a reputation for working collaboratively within HR as well as with executive and management teams to drive strategy into cost-effective, metrics-driven solutions. He has consulted to a variety of industries and organizations including Brown University, Capital One, ChevronTexaco, Cognizant, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Conseco, Hebrew Health Care, Lane Construction, Marriott, Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers, Oak Hill, Regional YMCA of Western CT, Service Corporation International, and Super Core Systems. Prior to The HRC, he was a Managing Director at Pelorus Advisors where he provided world-class cost control and work process improvement consultation and a Senior Advisor with EquaTerra (now KPMG) where he developed comprehensive HR service delivery strategies. Mike earned his Bachelors in Psychology from Hamline University and has completed graduate coursework toward his Masters in Industrial Relations at the University of Minnesota.
