About the Person

\r\n With over 30 years of experience in private practice and as corporate counsel, Michael Norris, also known as Mike, combines both sound legal judgement with business acumen and strong inter-personal skills. As the General Counsel and Senior Vice President for the company, Norris` experience allows him to handle the company`s legal affairs while overseeing all aspects of human resources administration.   Mike started his career as an associate at Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle (now Nixon Peabody) and eventually became a founding partner of Ward Norris Heller & Reidy (now Ward Greenberg).   Mike has had extensive experience in civil litigation, having handled numerous cases through trial and appeal which involved personal injury, business disputes and intellectual property claims. Prior to joining D4, Mike was the General Counsel and Vice President of Human Resources at the John D. Brush Co. Inc., also known as Sentry Safe. While at Sentry, Mike worked with cross-functional compliance teams to mitigate compliance risks across the business and significantly reduce legal costs to the company. He is a former Chairman of the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center Board and is the current Chairman-elect of the Board of AVBI/Goodwill as well as a member of various other legal and HR professional associations.   Mike`s impressive skill set and broad range of experience, along with his integrity and passion for all things law-related make him an extremely valued member of the D4 team.   Mike earned a BA from Middlebury College and his JD from Albany Law School.\r\n
