About the Person
"Melissa Hansen’s tenure in the insurance and financial industries spans more than 18 years. Since 2005 she has focused on employee benefits, and her background includes management of a substantial book of large national client accounts. She oversees all aspects of the client relationship, including funding arrangements, strategic plan design, contribution strategies, account management, compliance, carrier relationships and risk management. She applies a consultative approach to ensuring customer satisfaction and retention. At Corporate Synergies, she coaches and mentors a team of account managers and account specialists an addition to managing their activities. Her responsibilities include developing timely renewals, implementing new lines of coverage, developing annual and long-term benefit strategies, and educating clients on best-of-breed strategies. Previously she was a Benefits Consultant with Gallagher Benefits Services and Wells Fargo Insurance, where she managed large multi-state clients. In addition, she founded and controlled a boutique employee benefits firm that specialized in aviation insurance with clients in 33 states across the country. She earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in business Management and Marketing from the University of Phoenix. She holds a Health, Life, and Annuity license and is currently studying Certified Financial Planning at Florida State University. "
