About the Person
Maureen Whatley is Vice President of Global Talent Management at Alere. At Alere, Whatley leads the global talent management practice, which consists of organizational effectiveness, learning solutions and talent acquisition teams driving transformational changes in areas of culture, engagement and performance across 13,000 employees spanning 100 locations in 36 countries. Her primary focus the past four years has been a journey of reinventing culture and performance management, developing behavior-focus competencies with a focus on identifying high potentials and emerging leaders, and driving higher levels of engagement across the enterprise. Before joining Alere, she was vice president of client relations at Lee Hecht Harrison, delivering talent management and career development services to Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to LHH, she was a consultant partnering with hundreds of companies to improve their recruiting practices, leader development and career programs so that they are hiring, developing and retaining their best talent. For seven years, Whatley has chaired and facilitated an elite HR leadership roundtable called the “HR Leader Think Tank,” is a member of the Atlanta HR Leadership Forum, and has held a number of leadership roles with SHRM National and SHRM-Atlanta.
