Horizon has an annual budget of approximately $1 billion and has more than 12,400 employees, 1,000 physicians and 4,600 volunteers, auxiliary and alumnae members, as well as 20 foundations and 21 Auxiliary and Alumnae organizations. Horizon ensures representation from urban and rural areas through a 15-member Board that consists of 7 appointed and 8 elected members of the public.
Maura McKinnon is the Chief Human Resource Officer at Horizon Health Network, effective October 13, 2015. Maura is a versatile, senior leader who brings over 25 years of experience in managing complex and cross-functional strategic initiatives, while successfully managing diverse stakeholder groups. A strategic, big picture thinker, she has led senior management teams through numerous challenging projects, most recently, as Vice President, Human Resources for Imperial Manufacturing Group. With a Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Moncton, Maura spent eight years of her career at the Atlantic Lottery Corporation in leadership roles focused on human resources, organizational development, customer experience, and organizational capacity. Her leadership style is defined by a strong set of moral principles, her collaborative nature as well as her commitment to broad organizational success. By her peers, Maura is known as a strong motivator of individuals and someone who is not only reliable but delivers results, embraces change and handles conflict graciously and effectively. As a key member of the Corporate Resource team, Maura will apply her senior leadership experience and values to lead strategy and delivery of human resource services across Horizon Health Network and will foster relationships with Horizon`s valued stakeholders.
