Mr. Silver served as the Managing Counsel and Vice President at Ryerson Holding Corporation from January 2013 to February 3, 2016. He has also served as the Company`s Secretary since December 2014. As Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Ryerson, he is responsible for managing the company`s legal, risk management, real estate and human resources functions. Mark brings more than 20 years of legal experience to Ryerson, including 12 years at Sara Lee Corporation where he held multiple positions such as vice president and assistant general counsel, vice president of corporate development, as well as chief counsel, mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Mark served as a corporate attorney at the Chicago and London offices of Kirkland & Ellis. Mark received his bachelor`s degree in political science from the University of Illinois and Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School.
