About the Person
In 2012, Mark Schwartz was named Waste Management’s senior vice president of human resources. Through this position, he directs all aspects of the company’s talent, including recruitment, benefits, diversity and labor relations. Prior to this position, Mr. Schwartz served as the Company’s vice president and assistant general counsel, overseeing employment law, labor relations and ERISA obligations. Prior to joining WM, Mr. Schwartz was the office managing shareholder of Littler Mendelson’s Houston office and a partner at Andrews Kurth LLP. Mr. Schwartz obtained his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and his law degree from Baylor University School of Law.
