About the Person

Mark Freyman is responsible for corporate finance, intellectual property management, product strategy and human resources. Prior to joining Smart Wires, Mark was VP of Strategic Alliances & Investment Structuring at Chevron Renewable Power where he led the evaluation, structuring and financing of more than $500 million of U.S.-based energy efficiency, solar and geothermal projects. He was responsible for defining and executing a go-to-market strategy to deploy capital in a tax-advantaged market, creating a sophisticated deal structure to drive this market. Prior to joining Chevron, Mark was a principal partner in a wind power development firm and co-founder of a distributed generation solar project development firm. In those capacities, he closed hundreds of millions of dollars of project financings across various policy regimes. Throughout his 15-year career, Mark has successfully created competitive advantage and strategic value in business development, financial planning, and consulting roles at top tier firms in the travel, software, and wireless infrastructure industries.
