About the Person

Margaret Lazo is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Univision Communications Inc., effective April 11, 2016.   Lazo will be based in New York and report to Randy Falco, President and Chief Executive Officer.   Lazo joins Univision from GE Capital where she served as Global Human Resources Leader, consecutively, for the Commercial Real Estate and the Americas` Lending and Leasing businesses. A leader in guiding organizational change, most recently she oversaw the sale and disposition of a significant portfolio of assets and transition of employees to successor companies.   Prior to GE Capital, she served in a number of Human Resources leadership roles at NBC Universal, including EVP, Human Resources for cable and broadcast Entertainment and Digital properties and SVP, Human Resources Telemundo Communications Group and VP, Human Resources for the TV Stations Division. Among her contributions at NBC Universal, Lazo drove integration and change management plans following the company`s acquisition by Comcast, led organizational simplification initiatives and facilitated a number of leadership transitions.   She served as the HR functional acquisition integration leader supporting NBC`s purchase of Telemundo in 2001 and was a key contributor to shaping Telemundo`s business strategy following the acquisition, including the startup of content production studios in the US and Latin America.   Lazo began her career working in Human Resources Management at Macy`s. She graduated cum laude from St. John`s University with a degree in Communications. She currently serves on the Board of the Hispanic Federation, whose mission is to empower and advance the Hispanic community.
