At the Obama Foundation, we are guided by a core belief: that ordinary people working together can change history. We were founded by community organizers, so when we seek change, we do it by bringing people together. That approach begins at home, on the South Side of Chicago, where we are building the Obama Presidential Center. The Center represents a historic opportunity for Chicago: a chance to build a world-class museum and public gathering space that celebrates our nation`s first African American President and First Lady, steps away from where he began his career, where she was raised, and where—together—they made their home. But that approach extends to all our work, whether it`s holding leadership training sessions in communities throughout the U.S., bringing local leaders together in countries around the world, working to support the global education of girls, or ensuring young men of color have pathways to opportunity. As President Obama has said, “we cannot solve the challenges of our time unless we solve them together.” So join us.

Collective Change is a crowdfunding platform for nonprofits and social causes. Each month will focus on different category of charitable cause. At the beginning of every month, we ll put up several causes within that months category. You can check out your options and vote for your favorite. With your $15 annual membership, 12 of those dollars are funneled into a collective donation pool. $1 for each month. By doing this, each monthly donation represents the number of people who contributed to that cause. As our community grows, so do those monthly donations. Think about it! If a million people came together with just $1 each month, we will be raising a million dollars each month for a new cause!
New England Village (NEV) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities realize their potential and pursue their dreams through innovative programs and community living. Using a person-centered approach, we offer a variety of services, including day habilitation, employment supports, and residential living. With 17 modern and beautifully maintained homes in a picturesque setting in Pembroke as well as a state-of-the-art wellness center and a beautiful day facility in Kingston, NEV supports 78 individuals in its Residential Services Division and 160 clients in its Day Services programs. Recognizing how integral quality staff is to the well-being of the individuals we serve, New England Villages management and board of directors have a made a commitment to being the Human Services Employer of Choice in our region.
