About the Person
Lynne Nagaoka is the Director of Human Resources at Wailea Beach Marriott Resort and Spa. In addition to overseeing the human resources department, she creates, implements and oversees training programs and learning systems to support workforce planning and career development. Previously, she served as the Director of Human Resources at Kaua`i Marriott Resort and Beach Club. Nagaoka joined the Kaua`i Marriott in 1995 as a convention services manager, and previously served as a catering sales manager at Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort & Spa, and the Westin Kauai. She served as a board member of the Kauai United Way, Kauai Job Service Employer Committee and Kauai High School Academy of Travel and Tourism. Nagaoka also served as treasurer of the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School PTSA, and a member of the Kauai Chamber of Commerce. Born on the Big Island, she holds an associate`s degree in travel industry management from O`ahu`s Kapiolani Community College.
