Lori A. Taylor is the Deputy Director of Human Resources at Oakland County Michigan. Taylor, 56, who has been with the county for 19 years, started in 1996 as a human resources analyst. She was previously supervisor of recruitment, compensation and workforce planning, and also a human resources manager before her appointment. Among Taylor`s responsibilities are employee recruitment and compensation. Taylor is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, the Detroit chapter of SHRM, and the International Public Management Association-HR. Before joining the county, Taylor worked at the Detroit Medical Center`s Hutzel Hospital, the North Oakland Medical Centers, and was also an independent human resources advisor. She has a master of science administration degree in leadership from Central Michigan University and a bachelor of science degree in organizational communications from Western Michigan University.
