About the Person

As Senior Vice President, Talent Strategies, Lisa Carr leads the firm`s Talent Strategies Division, which focuses on identifying and building strong relationships with the healthcare industry`s top executive talent. An accomplished healthcare executive, Ms. Carr brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare talent acquisition and management. Her diverse background includes supporting recruitment and human resources initiatives for large health systems and academic medical centers, as well as both not-for-profit and public organizations.   Prior to joining B. E. Smith, Ms. Carr was Vice President, Talent Acquisition at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, the nation`s largest not-for-profit academic medical center. In this role she led the hospital`s workforce planning efforts, including recruitment, retention and employment marketing. She also served as Director of Talent Stewardship at Via Christi Health, Inc., the largest non-profit provider of healthcare services in Kansas. Previous experience includes several human resources and recruitment leadership roles for large organizations in the private industry.   Ms. Carr excels at building high performance teams and aligning business strategies with talent acquisition and recruitment initiatives. She has successfully developed strategic plans to address workforce planning, internal succession management and employment branding. Additionally, healthcare providers and candidates value her ability to quickly build strong, collaborative relationships.   Ms. Carr earned a Master of Business Administration from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud. Minn., and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources and Personnel Administration from the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
