About the Person

Leslie joined George Brown College in 2015 as Vice-President, Human Resources and Organizational Development. In this role and as a member of the leadership team at the college, Leslie is responsible for the achievement of George Brown`s strategic objectives through the design, direction and execution of a full range of effective and efficient Human Resources and Organizational Development practices and programs. Leslie leads George Brown College`s efforts to continue to be recognized as a top employer, providing a progressive, diverse and inclusive workplace that is committed to both employee and student success.   Leslie joined George Brown College after more than two decades in increasingly senior leadership positions in human resources in the financial services industry. Most recently, she was Senior Vice-President, HR, Corporate Office and Direct Channels, at TD Bank Group. Prior to that, Leslie was Vice-President, Talent Management for the bank and Vice-President, HR for TD Wealth Management. Throughout her career, she has been committed to giving back to the community as a member of the United Way Cabinet, as a chair of the Juvenile Diabetes Ride Foundation (JDRF) and as a representative on the Industry Council for Homeward Bound.   In her previous roles, Leslie has had the opportunity to work with George Brown through various partnerships and through her responsibility for on-campus recruitment as Vice-President, Talent Management at TD Bank Group. She has long admired George Brown as a “progressive and connected leader in Ontario`s college sector and a huge contributor to the vitality of life and learning in Toronto.”   Leslie holds an honours bachelor of arts degree in political science and French from the University of Western Ontario, and a postgraduate certificate in industrial relations from the University of Ottawa.  She also completed the advanced human resources executive program at the University of Michigan.
