About the Person
Lee Otaguro is the Director of Human Resources at Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa. In his new role, Otaguro will focus on the hotel`s employees and internal service culture. Otaguro joined the Sheraton Maui in 2011 as human resources manager before being promoted to assistant director of human resources in 2015. Otaguro first joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts as a bushelp at The Royal Hawaiian in 1998, before graduating from the associate development program in 2006 and beginning a role as property service culture trainer. He has also served in multiple other roles, including food and beverage manager, beach and pool manager, training manager and uniformed services manager. Otaguro has been celebrated as an outstanding Starwood Cares for the Community volunteer. He also received honorable mention as a “Manager of the Year” nominee for the Hawai`i Hotel Association annual award in 2013.
