About the Person

Lee M. Knafelc was appointed Vice President, Human Resources and Administration in January 2011, with responsibility for the company`s global human resources. He also oversees corporate benefits and insurance, human resources finance and information systems, facilities management, travel and meeting services.   He joined PotashCorp in 1998 as Human Resources Superintendent at Lanigan Division, and moved to head office in 2004 as Director, Industrial Relations and People Development. In 2007, he was named Senior Director, Human Resources.   Mr. Knafelc began his human resource management career at Federated Co-operatives Limited in Saskatoon in 1991. In 1995, he became Human Resources Manager, Western Canada for CSP Foods and in 1997, Director of Human Resources.   He studied General Arts for one year at l`Université Canadienne en France at Villefranche-sur-Mer, France before obtaining a Bachelor of Education degree with great distinction at the University of Saskatchewan in 1991. He has taken credit courses in labor relations and law, compensation, employee relations and staffing. He is a Certified Human Resources Professional and a member of the Saskatchewan Association of Human Resource Professionals, serving on its complaints and discipline committee.   Mr. Knafelc is a director of the Saskatchewan Mining Association.
