Our name, prAna, holds great meaning to us. It is an ancient Sanskrit word for breath, life and vitality of the spirit. We are honored to borrow this word as our company name, as it lifts our aspirations and helps guide our actions towards a socially mindful and environmentally sustainable organization. We started back in 1993 in Carlsbad, California and we continue to grow and resonate with like-minded people; climbers, surfers, athletes of all flavors, yogis, artists and free spirited folks around the world. prAna continues to evolve steadily and naturally, rippling with widening circles into the passionate community of those who love the outdoors, artists, athletes, and environmentally and socially mindful individuals. Since it was established in 1909, the French luxury brand has had its headquarters at Molsheim, Alsace, where almost 8000 cars had been produced until 1956, when the factory was sold. The factory was revived in 1998 and hand-crafted 450 Veyrons from 2005 to 2015. The production of the Chiron started in the autumn of 2016. Currently, more than 300 of these super sports cars, which are being produced in a strictly limited series of 500, have been sold. The French luxury brand, which has been part of the Volkswagen Group since its revival, employs about 300 people. With 34 dealers and service partners in 17 countries in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, Bugatti is now a global player.
