About the Person

Lana L. Hillebrand is executive vice president and chief administrative officer for American Electric Power, responsible for Information Technology, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Real Estate and Workplace Services. Hillebrand joined AEP in 2012 from Aon Hewitt, where she had worked since 2001, most recently as South Region leader – senior partner in Dallas, Texas. At Aon Hewitt, she also served as U.S. Consulting Client Development leader – managing principal (2008-2010), Consulting Market Group leader for the Western U.S. (2006-2008), Consulting Sales leader for the Western U.S. (2005-2006), Dallas Region Market manager (2003-2005) and managing consultant (2001-2003). She began her career in 1982 as land records administrator at Central & South West Corp. (CSW), an electric utility holding company that merged with AEP in 2000. At CSW, she served in a variety of positions including vice president – Human Resources (1996-2000), executive assistant to President and Chief Operating Officer (1995-1996) and director of Fuel Planning and Analysis (1994-1995). Hillebrand holds a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin and has completed executive programs at Columbia University and Harvard University. She is a member of the boards of the Columbus State Foundation and the Central Ohio United Way. At AEP, she is an executive sponsor of the Asian-American Employee Partnership (AAEP) Employee Resource Group.
