Zeta Tau Alpha is an international womens fraternity founded on October 15, 1898 at the State Female Normal School in Farmville, Virginia.
With the inception of the Business Information Management (BIM) major in 2008, a group of students banded together in 2010 to establish Management Information Student Society, commonly known as MAISS (/meɪs/). The group of BIM students hoped to create a tight-knit community of BIM students to persevere through the difficulties of the newly-established curriculum. Since then, MAISS has grown to comprise of all students who share a passion for business and technology.
