About the Person
As Vice President of Human Resources, Kristen Carter is charged with leading, building and aligning the HR and Recruiting functions in support of the company`s business goals. Carter has over 15 years of experience working in government contracting environments. Carter began her HR career with BTG, Inc. which was subsequently acquired by Titan Corporation and later L-3 Communications, during which time she gained valuable experience in mergers and acquisitions, benefits, and compliance. She then became the HR Operations Manager for Grant Thornton`s Global Public Sector practice, where she implemented and managed HR processes necessary to support employees working in war zones and was also a key contributor to the performance management roundtable and compensation planning processes each year. Before her career in Human Resources, Carter was an analyst on Department of Defense contracts then transitioned into HR after completing her Masters degree in Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Central Michigan University. Carter has two certifications– she is a Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) and a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and WorldatWork.
