Honolulu, HI-based Hawaii Gas has Retired Kenneth T. Yamamoto as Vice President of Human Resources

 

About the Company

Since 1904 HAWAI'I GAS has been the only franchised gas utility in the State of Hawai'i. Since this time, we have installed gas pipeline infrastructure, built bulk storage facilities with access to the harbor and developed a highly skilled workforce on every major island to serve the people of Hawai'i. Gas is now a critical part of our fuel mix in Hawai'i providing a cleaner and lower cost alternative for residential, commercial and industrial customers.

 

About the Person

Kenneth T. Yamamoto has retired as Vice President of Human Resources at Hawaii Gas.   Ken was responsible for developing, implementing and managing policies, procedures and programs covering labor relations and negotiations, benefits and pensions, employment and staffing, salary administration, payroll, employee relations and employee assistance programs.   Throughout his career at the Company, Ken has been the labor liaison working to effectively address the increasingly complex area of labor relations, federal and state employment guidelines and regulations, employee rights and equal opportunity.
