About the Person

Mr. Kenneth M. Smith, also known as Ken, served as the Chief Information & Human Resources Officer of Polyone Corporation from January 2003 to June 6, 2014. Mr. Smith served as a Senior Vice President of Polyone Corp. since May 2006. He was responsible for PolyOne’s global information technology, human resources and corporate communications functions. He served as the Chief Information Officer of Hexpol Compounding, LLC (formerly Excel Polymers, LLC, PolyOne Elastomer and Performance Additives Group) since September 1, 2000. He served as a Vice President at Polyone Corporation from September 1, 2000 to May 2006. Mr. Smith served as Vice President of Information Technology of Geon Company (also known as BFGoodrich) from August 1999 to August 31, 2000, Chief Information Officer from August 1997 to August 1999 and Director of Information Systems from 1993 to August 1997. Mr. Smith joined BFGoodrich / Geon in 1989 as Manager of technical support. Prior to joining BFGoodrich / Geon, he was a Technical Consultant for AT&T, Manager of communications technology at the Babcock & Wilcox Company, and Senior Software Consultant for Digital Equipment Corporation. He serves on the board of the Battered Women’s Shelter of Summit and Medina Counties and is also a recipient of the American Red Cross Vega award. Mr. Smith earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron and a Master’s in business administration from Kent State University.
