The Risk Management segment offers contract claim settlement and administration services for enterprises that choose to self-insure some or all of their property/casualty coverages, and for insurance companies that choose to outsource some or all of their property/casualty claims departments. This segment also offers integrated disability management programs, information services, risk control consulting (loss control) services, and appraisal services. The company provides its services through a network of insurance brokers and consultants. It operates primarily in the United States, Australia, Bermuda, New Zealand, Canada, and the United Kingdom. About the Person
Keith leads the talent & organization development practice for Gallagher Benefit Services` North Central Region. His primary mission is to deliver strategic consulting expertise, talent development programs and organization development interventions to client organizations. He is a frequent presenter at national and regional professional conferences. Keith also provides talent and organization development opportunities to GBS`s employees. With over 25 years of experience in organizational leadership, human resource development, and benefits & human resource compliance, his breadth of expertise and capabilities results in his work delivering significant behavioral, strategic and bottomline impact to client organizations. Keith`s core areas of consulting expertise include leadership and management, total rewards strategy, presentation skills, interpersonal communication, and individual leadership coaching. His approach is application-oriented, with a strong bias for action learning, experiential learning, and real-time practical application of skills. Keith is also a leading authority on the practical application and strategic implications of employee benefits and human resources regulatory requirements. His core areas of expertise in this area include healthcare reform (PPACA), FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, HRAs, HSAs and Section 125 cafeteria plans. Prior to joining GBS in 2003, Keith was president of A.E. Roberts Company, then one of the nation`s premier training and consulting organizations specializing in employee benefits and human resources compliance education. Earlier, he was a training and organization development consultant first with ITT, then with his own consulting practice, Keith Friede & Partners. Keith holds an M.A. in human resource development from the University of St. Thomas. His ground-breaking post-graduate research on leadership in virtual organizations led to his ongoing association with the Centre for Applied Leadership where he serves as an advisor and contributor. Beyond GBS, Keith plays bass in several jazz groups and is the P.A. announcer for varsity soccer, basketball and baseball games at the high school from which he graduated.
