About the Person
Kay Teixeira is Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Affinia Group. On April 1, 2014, Ms. Kay Teixeira was appointed Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Affinia Group Inc. Previously, she served as Vice President of Human Resources for Affinia’s Filtration business, a position she held since 2009. Ms. Teixeira joined the Affinia team in 1994, and has been instrumental in leading HR efforts at her facilities. She oversaw transformations at Dana Corporation’s Greensboro, NC plant, and in 2001, she was selected to lead a startup team, playing an essential role in the hiring of a dynamic workforce and development of policies & procedures. In 2003, Ms. Teixeira was promoted to Division Director of HR for the Wix Filtration Products Division. Ms. Teixeira earned both an MBA and Bachelors of Business Administration from American Intercontinental University, both degrees specializing in Human Resource Management. She currently serves as President of the YMCA Executive Board of Directors, and HR Advisor for Habitat for Humanity. In addition, Ms. Teixeira is an active member of the Human Resources Association.
