About the Person

In February 2013 Kawel LauBach was named Chief Human Resource Officer of the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority. As an original member of the Mohegan Sun Pocono management team and most recently as the Vice President of Administration, he oversaw non-gaming operations, human resources and guest service functions. Prior to joining Mohegan Sun in 2005, Laubach worked for Harrah’s Entertainment and subsequently Boyd Gaming as a human resource executive at their Louisiana properties. He boasts over 20 years of combined operations and human resources experience with different Fortune 500 companies, most notably, spending several years in the People Department at Southwest Airlines, an organization consistently recognized as a “Best to Work For” and “Most Admired.”   Laubach’s friendly and innovative approach to business helped Mohegan Sun Pocono win accolades as a premier employer in the Wyoming Valley and he was recognized by the Times Leader of Wilkes-Barre, PA as a “40 Under Forty” honoring 40 local professionals who have distinguished themselves as outstanding leaders, role models and influential community members. Laubach is greatly involved in the community having served on three separate non-profit boards supporting leadership, children and diversity.   Laubach holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University located just outside Nashville, Tennessee. He and his wife, Leslie, and their two children will be relocating to the East Lyme area.
