About the Person
Kathleen C. Gubanich is Managing Director of Human Resources, responsible for overseeing employee relations, corporate training, employment, compensation, and benefits. She joined Vanguard in 1986. Ms. Gubanich holds a B.B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame and an M.S. in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to Vanguard, Kathy worked at Allstate insurance in their Operations Group. She earned her BBA in marketing from the University of Notre Dame and her MSOD from the University of Pennsylvania. She is the past chair and a current executive officer of the American Benefits Council, a Trustee for the Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program, on Wharton`s Financial Services HR Advisory Council and has been on the Board of Trustees at Montgomery School since 2007. Kathy and her husband, Chris, have three daughters: Jessica `08 who is attending the University of Notre Dame, Alli who earned her ME from the University of Arizona and is teaching at Kildonan School in New York, and Nikki who currently works at a local marketing firm after graduating from University of San Diego and Drexel`s Business School.
