About the Person
Kari Heerdt is MSC's Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer. Kari is a talented and experienced HR executive who began her career at Bloomingdale's and later at GE, holding successive positions in HR management. Kari then spent time as a Senior Consultant at Hewitt Associates in their Corporate Restructuring and Change, Talent & Organization Consulting Practice. This role led her to the position of Senior Manager, Operations for Cerberus Capital Management, a leading investment management firm. Later, Kari became the Chief Human Resources Officer of two Cerberus portfolio companies: Mervyns (retail) and Talecris (biotherapeutics). Prior to joining MSC, Kari was Partner, Strategic Account Executive at Aon Hewitt responsible for Aon Hewitt's largest client. Kari has a B.A in Sociology from Mount Holyoke College and an M.S. in Management from Purdue University. Kari lives in Cornelius, North Carolina.
